Ellen Mukwewa

Ellen Mukwewa, the director and managing consultant at Marell Consulting Limited, brings over 24 years of experience in education. Originally trained as a Chemistry teacher, Ellen has held various roles throughout her career, including a leadership position in an independent school. For half her career, she has dedicated herself to working as a School Improvement Consultant, focusing exclusively on supporting independent schools inspected by Ofsted, with a special emphasis on special schools.

Her extensive experience has equipped her with exceptional knowledge of Ofsted inspection frameworks, the Independent School Standards, and SEND regulations. Armed with qualifications including a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) in Chemistry, a Master of Education (M.Ed) with distinction, and Fellowship status from the Society of Education and Training, Ellen’s expertise is complemented by her deep understanding of school improvement and non-association independent schools.

Ellen’s passion for education stems from her own story of striving to exceed expectations, which drives her commitment to helping schools and their pupils achieve their fullest potential. She believes in fostering environments that empower leaders, staff and students alike to excel.
