Full Audit
Suitable for: Schools that are expecting a standard Ofsted inspection especially those that have not yet been inspected under the 2019 EIF; schools that require a point in time evaluation of their provision and practical recommendations for improvement.
Duration: 5 days (including 3 days onsite)
This is a whole school audit against Ofsted’s Education Inspection Framework and the Independent School Standards. The outcome is a document outlining how the school complies with the Independent School Standards; a detailed report identifying strengths, areas for improvement and practical strategies to address un-met standards and areas for improvement.
Progress Monitoring Audit
Suitable for: Schools that have been inspected recently and not managed to get a positive outcome; schools that have compiled and implemented a DfE action plan and are now expecting a progress monitoring inspection.
Duration: 3 days (including 1 day onsite)
During this audit we will check if the school now meets previously un-met standards and if they have addressed any other issues identified at the last inspection. We will also review whether or not they continue to meet the standards that were met at the last inspection. The outcome will be a document outlining how the school complies with previously un-met standards; if they continue to meet the standards that were met at the last inspection; practical steps to address any standards that are not met.
Material Change Audit
Suitable for: Schools that have applied to the DfE for a material change.
Duration: 2 days (including 1 day onsite)
During the audit we will check if the school is likely to meet the Independent School Standards related to the material change should it be implemented.
Pre-registration Audit
Suitable for: Those who have applied to start a new independent school.
Duration: 3 days (including 1 day onsite)
After sending your application to the DfE, and they have written to inform you that Ofsted will conduct a pre-registration inspection. During this audit we will evaluate if the school is likely to comply with the Independent School Standards when it opens.
